The new PORTRA 400 offers a significantly finer grain structure for improved scanning and enlargeability in modern workflows. In the ISO 400/27° color negative film class, Portra 400 is currently the film with the finest grain. However, the Fujifilm PRO 400H and Superia X-tra 400 deliver better values when it comes to sharpness and resolution parameters. The Portra 400 has warm color rendering (slightly warmer than the Portra 160). The color saturation is also slightly higher than with the Portra 160. The skin tones are reproduced very well differentiated. It's the ideal choice for portrait and fashion photography - as well as generally outdoor shots where you need to capture fast movement or where you can't control the lighting.
